Red Tourmaline Gemstones
Round – 1 to 5 Carats
I love the complex dynamic color of many tourmaline and this standard round brilliant is a good example of one. Under a light advertised as "day light like" and the real morning light, the round goes from a definite vivid purple red to a rich pink. It appears to be eye clean and with fine crystal, but there is a white non flashing feather on the side of the crown (Not under the table.) and it effects the gemstone very little. This bit of the wonderful of color in tourmaline weighs 5.00 carats.
This red standard round brilliant has moderate flash and a significant number of inclusions. The dark rich sultry red color hides most of the flaws under the table, but there are white ones around the edge which are easy to see. If you love natural red this stone still has merit. It weighs 2.08 carats.
This green emerald cut is only moderately dichroic. The yellower principle axis doesn't display itself very much because of the long ratio of the emerald cut and the narrower dimensions of the gemstone. Since both dichroic colors are nice bright colors, the eye clean stone's ratios are result
