This is one of the great cuprian stones in the collection. It is eye clean except for around the girdle and with fine crystal. Its color, blue purple, is its most outstanding attribute and along with great clarity makes it a first class GEM. It weighs 16.66 carats. 0291 Upon a later examination with my loop, I saw/remember that I had left sum of the rind of the rough pebble in the gem. This enabled me to get an exceptional yield of 41 percent and does not impacxt the beaut of the gem at all.

This is a beautiful gemstone in a very rare color for tourmaline. Its well saturated lavender color probably comes from heating richly toned red purplish rough. It is eye clean and has fine crystal. It weighs 6.35 carats.0031

This beautiful, richly toned purple with reddish high lights is cuprian. It appears to be eye clean. It is cut in a standard round brilliant and weighs 5.60 carats. 0042

I love this stone. feather and all. This is such a great color and one reserved for cuprian tourmaline alone. The faint feather is under the table, but is a minor problem for such a nice sized, bright and flashy gemstone of such rare color. It weighs 6.07 carats. 0487

This standard round brilliant has an unusual color that I have called mauve. There is no indications of any copper in this tourmaline according to my spectrometer. The rounds medium toned face is not particularly flashy. The nice sized round appears to be eye clean with good crystal. It weighs 5.34 carats. 0902

In this reddish purple, standard round brilliant's shifting values of tone and shades of color, lies the vague form of a non-reflecting feather. The feather's presences can be felt when the gemstone is tilted and spun around. The rest of this plume colored gemstone appears to be eye clean and of fine crystal. It weighs 5.03 carats. 1049
