This is one of the original Laurellites that I sent to the GIA to be tested. It is without problems and is my best Lauellite, a name I use for cuprian tourmaline that has a reverse alexandrite color change. It weighs 5.69 carats and I consider a GEM. 0944

This is personal, but I like how tourmaline's dichroic nature can give excitement to a gemstone. It doesn't work all the time, but in this eye clean emerald cut with fine crystal it does. The bright vivid pinkish purple completely dominate the rather brownish pink sides. It is so tourmaline and so pretty. It weighs 5.53 carats. 1086
